Federal Courthouse In Tyler, Texas Named In Honor of William M. Steger

The federal courthouse complex in Tyler, Texas was renamed "The William M. Steger Federal Building and United States Courthouse" in a dedication ceremony held on May 9, 2008.  Andy Tindel, Judge Steger's law clerk in the early 1980's, served as the Master of Ceremonies for the event which included speeches by Thad Heartfield, Chief Judge of the Eastern District of Texas, Congressman Ralph Hall, Congressman Louie Gohmert and Judge Steger's widow, Ann Steger.
